We’re a family of four—my husband, two teens, and me—and we just got back from the most amazing 10-day trip to Peru, all thanks to Kindle Journeys. Honestly, from the moment we landed to the day we flew home, everything was perfectly organized: flights, airport pickups, hotels, tickets, guides—even bottled water every day. We didn’t have to stress about a single thing.

Our trip covered Lima, Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and Lake Titicaca. In each place, we had a local guide who really knew their stuff and made the history and culture feel alive. Walking through places like Sacsayhuamán or trying traditional Peruvian foods—it all felt like more than just sightseeing. It was immersive.

Some absolute highlights: a fun chocolate-making class in Cusco (my kids LOVED this), a stunning picnic in the Andes with views we’ll never forget, and of course, Machu Picchu—just wow. Kindle Journeys even helped make my birthday extra special with some lovely surprises I wasn’t expecting.

What really stood out to me was how well Kindle Journeys catered to all of us. Our teens were totally into it the whole time (which says a lot), and they both said it was the best trip they’ve ever taken. I have to agree. Also, the food? Phenomenal. Every meal was a treat.

Kindle Journeys seriously thought of everything. From the clean water they provided each day to the warmth and professionalism of every staff member we met, they made this trip unforgettable. I’d absolutely recommend them to anyone thinking about Peru.

My family and I recently returned from an incredible adventure through Peru—visiting Lima, Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and the breathtaking Machu Picchu—and we can’t say enough wonderful things about Kindle Journeys. The owner, Edson, was exceptional—warm, generous, and incredibly thoughtful. It’s clear he cares deeply about creating meaningful travel experiences, and it shows in every detail. Our tour guide, Ruben, and the entire team were devoted to ensuring we had an amazing time. They were punctual, knowledgeable, and always had a smile, which made the entire trip feel seamless and special.

Beyond the logistics, what made this journey stand out was the opportunity to truly connect with the history and culture of Peru. We learned so much about the Inca civilization and their incredible contributions to society—from their advanced agricultural techniques to their deeply spiritual way of life. Each site we visited was more awe-inspiring than the last, and having knowledgeable guides to bring that history to life made all the difference.

I would recommend Kindle Journeys without hesitation and will absolutely travel with them again. Edson and his team turned what could have been a regular vacation into a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The owner of Kindle Journeys, Edson Chacon is a kind, humble, and generous person. After you meet him, you can’t help but adore him. Edson communicated with our group months prior to our travel date. Upon meeting him in person, he was exactly how he presented himself before, we felt confident that we were in good hands during our 14 day visit to Peru. His team also reflected the same presence and energy that he does.

Our group travel consisted of 12, traveling to Lima, Cusco, the unforgettable Machu Picchu ruins, and finally the amazing Amazon.

I am still trying to process the unbelievably amazing time we had in Peru. And it is all due to Kindle Journeys! Every aspect of our trip was thought out with such care and purpose! We didn’t have to worry about a single thing! Edson took care of every detail. There was a group of 12 of us and we all arrived at different times and crazy hours and Edson met each of us at the airport and escorted us to our private car waiting to take us to our luxury accommodations. We visited 4 different areas, Lima, Sacred Valley, Cusco and then over to Iquitos for our Amazon River Cruise.

Throughout it all, all we had to worry about was where to show up and when! Edson always had every detail covered, plane tickets printed and handed to us at the airport, dinner reservations, tours to all the must-see sites, private cars, and a ton of laughter! He thought of it all! Javier was our private guide that made all the tours so fun. He was so knowledgeable about all the different sites. I honestly used to think I would never get to see Machu Picchu. I am not an avid hiker or very outdoorsy, which is what I thought you needed to be to experience it. Edson showed us anyone can experience Machu Picchu... even in luxury!

All of our accommodations were 5-star luxury hotels with every need taken care of. Edson planned our trip for us to truly experience the beauty and pureness of Peru! If Peru is on your bucket list just book it! And the only way you should see it is through Kindle Journeys and Edson! We arrived Peru excited for an adventure.

We left Peru changed forever with new friends we now consider family! We cannot recommend Kindle Journeys enough…..5 Stars isn’t enough. It deserves so much more.
 

Wow, just WOW! I'm still trying to put into words how much Peru touched my heart and it's all due to the high-class service provided by Edson and Kindle Journeys. If you're considering booking - DO IT! Every aspect of trip was thoughtfully planned out and executed flawlessly. Our group of 12 arrived in Lima at different times. We were all welcomed by Edson waiting for us at the airport. I felt relaxed, safe and at easy knowing this was my first time in Peru and he was taking care of everything for me.

The luxury service and accommodations were impeccable. All we needed to do was show up. From checking us into flights, printing bag tags, making dinner reservations - every need was pre thought out. Although we never saw it, Edson was always working 3 steps ahead, anticipating what we may need. Edson and his team surprised us with unique experiences, and special moments during our two weeks in Peru that will stay with me forever. We traveled from Lima, after having a day touring the city, to Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, a few days back in Cusco then on to a luxury Amazon River cruise. Everything was flawless.

The most unique part of this vacation was how genuine Edson is. A pure heart. He and the team at Kindle Journeys were not simply our guides, they became our friends. It takes someone very special to be able to welcome you into their county for the first time and you'll leave knowing you have family in Peru.
